FINANCE UPDATE

Members wil be aware that our overall financial position at the start of 2024 was that our assets exceeded our liabilities giving us a net worth of £19,800. 

While as anticipated costs this year have been higher, and indeed are expected to continue to rise ni the future, our position is still a strong one. 

Bank balances at the beginning of August totalled £18,600 and clothing/golf ball stocks are worth around £2,000. 

Our year end forecast, taking account of an anticipated loss at the Autumn Meeting of around £650, is for a net worth very similar to that at the end of 2023. 

Looking forward, while we know costs are continuing to rise your committee will be considering whether the match fee can remain at £55 for a further year.
