Financial Report

The Accounts for 2024 were submitted to the AGM and continue to show a healthy financial position.

Members will recall that, bearing in mind the Association’s strong financial position, and the knowledge available about cost levels in 2025, it was decided to hold the match fee at £55. This has proved to be, as expected, a level which will lead to an overall loss for the year 2025, but one which will not significantly affect the overall strength of our position.

Looking forward costs are continuing to rise and members will know that generally golf club fees have risen significantly over the last year or two. While we are lucky enough to be treated very well by the clubs in our county it is expected that our match fee will need to rise for 2026 even if we are prepared to draw on our balance in hand. Your committee will be considering the position in detail, and its impact on match fees for 2026, at its meeting in the Autumn. The reserves remain strong for an organisation such as ours.
